According to research, it helps to regulate the maturation cycle of skin cells in certain skin problems such as psoriasis. Glycerol can be safely used on the skin. Oxygeni Hair Tonic contains 100% natural glycerol which is extracted from two plants (rapeseed and palm). Glycerol helps the skin’s ability to retain water by attracting and binding water molecules. Glycerol is a moisture absorbent molecule, similar to hyaluronic acid. It is interesting to note that according to some research, glycerol works better in combination with other skin care ingredients. For example, research shows that in the case of water loss, combining it with aloe vera increases the absorption property of the skin and helps to hydrate the skin. Combining it with jojoba oil helps to prevent transepidermal water loss and may improve the moisture content of the skin for up to 24 hours.
