Important information about the use of the hair, scalp and face wash in general.
Natural hair, scalp and face washes do not contain chemicals that would soften the skin and hair. It may be surprising that the ends of the hair might be slightly more porous after the first use of the product. This is perfectly compensated with a natural hair mask that makes the skin soft and the hair easy to comb while simultaneously caring for the hair ends. Our products work together in a unique system and synergy therefore it is important to always use the appropriate Oxygeni Hair & Skin masks and creams in combination with Oxygeni Hair & Skin washes!
One cleanser is not enough to treat dry skin on its own! Face washes are used to clean the skin, therefore regardless of their hydrating properties, they cannot fully fulfill a moisturizing or regenerating function. If the skin is dry and needs extra hydration, it is essential to use a mask. You can find different mask recipes in the cosmetic and trichology paragraphs.
Our hair, scalp and face washes are general concentrates, which means that it is necessary to dilute them before using them on the skin. Dilute 10-15 ml of Sensitive Wash (if used as a shampoo the amount depends on hair length) in the applicator with 50-80 ml of water, then clean your skin and hair twice in a row.
The cleanser mixes should never be premixed in advance or used after it’s been staying in the applicator for a long time. Premixed masks and mixes should only be used for 24 hours after they’ve been mixed, as they do not contain preservatives. After 24 hours, the mixed materials may separate, the oils may precipitate, and bacteria may multiply on the plastic surface. To avoid this, mix the recommended products freshly and use them as part of a treatment right away.
Cleansers are generally to be avoided on the body – especially foaming cleansers used on the face, as they overdry the skin and negatively affect sebum production. However, Oxygeni Hair Sensitive Wash is free of sulfates and contains a special plant enzyme that helps the product to foam, allowing it to effectively cleanse while not drying out the skin or cause irritation. It can be safely used as a body and face wash, a shower gel or as a make-up remover.
Sensitive Wash is recommended for slightly oily, sensitive, irritated skin and hair, and can also be used by expectant mothers and babies!
Basic recipe – for sensitive scalp and hair treatment, mix 10-15 ml (depending on hair length) of Sensitive Wash in the applicator, dilute with 50-80 ml water (depending on hair length) and distribute evenly on the scalp. The main active ingredient of Sensitive Wash is sunflower oil, which works as an excellent moisturizer thanks to its high vitamin (E, B, C) and mineral content. It helps preserve the moisture content of the skin and prevents it from drying out. Due to its high vitamin E content, it is an excellent antioxidant, providing protection against free radicals.
The product also contains Panthenol, also known as vitamin B5 which is an important element in the regeneration of tissues and mucous membranes, contributing to the restoration of damaged skin, and the promotion of cell renewal. In addition, pantothenic acid accelerates fat metabolism, reduces tissue inflammation, and strengthens collagen fibers. Trace elements containing vitamin B5 penetrate the scalp and have a positive strengthening effect on the hair follicles. It helps eliminate dandruff and reduces dry scalp, itching and excessive activity of the sebaceous gland. Soothes irritated scalp and reduces itching.
